“When I first moved to the ICU I had a patient who was very ill, but he was kind to the staff. His family, however, were really chaotic and would say horrible things about the nurses. I found this experience so difficult that I considered leaving the ICU and working elsewhere, but in the end, I decided to hold on and be patient.”

“So it's mainly because of the lack of staff at the moment, normally it would be eight hours one day and the next day I work 16 hours and then be on leave for like 24 hours. That would be normal. That's the normal schedule for this. But now we're working 10, 24 hour long shifts a month. Yeah. And most hospitals in Mongolia are like this. We’re always on call. Yeah. We’re always on call. Even if we were working the night before.”
